Psychotherapy in Guelph and Across Ontario
For adults navigating anxiety, stress, emotional eating, and the weight of midlife. In person in Guelph, including Walk and Talk therapy. Virtual sessions available across Ontario.
You are likely managing a great deal. Careers, children, aging parents, shifting responsibilities, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, a growing sense of exhaustion and disconnection from yourself, your body, and what you actually need.
That is exactly where my work begins.
As a Registered Psychotherapist with 14+ years of experience, I take an integrative mind-body approach that addresses both emotional and physical well-being. Where relevant, I also draw on my background as a Registered Holistic Nutrition Practitioner to explore how stress, blood sugar, and food patterns connect to how you feel emotionally and physically.
Most therapists work with one or the other. I work with both.
What We Work On
Anxiety, Stress and Burnout Persistent worry, overwhelm, and the physical toll of carrying too much for too long. We work to understand what your nervous system is responding to and build more sustainable ways of managing stress in real life.
Emotional Eating and Weight Concerns Emotional eating is rarely about food. It is often a stress response, a coping pattern, or a signal that something deeper needs attention. Therapy helps you understand the connection between how you feel and how you eat, without shame or judgment.
Midlife Transitions Shifting roles, changing relationships, peri-menopause and menopause, and the quiet identity questions that emerge in midlife. Therapy offers space to navigate these changes with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Addictions Whether it is alcohol, substances, or behavioural patterns that have become a way of managing stress or emotion, therapy offers a non-judgmental space to understand what is driving the pattern and build genuine capacity for change.
How I Work
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, integrating cognitive, emotional, and somatic work to address what you are thinking, what you are feeling, and what you are carrying in your body. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused approaches, nervous-system-informed techniques, and HeartMath® to support emotional resilience and nervous system regulation alongside practical strategies that create real and lasting change.
My goal is to offer a warm, compassionate space where you can reconnect with yourself, rebuild self-trust, and move forward in ways that respect the life you are actually living.
