Therapy is an incredibly personal undertaking and it’s important that you find the correct therapist for you.
So, let’s get to know each other!
If you are feeling stuck in cycles of stress, anxiety, emotional eating, or weight concerns, you are not alone. These patterns often develop in response to stress and life demands.
Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, capable, and knowledgeable. They often know what they should do, but find it difficult to follow through when life feels overwhelming, emotionally demanding, or exhausting. My work focuses on helping people understand what is getting in the way and building change that feels realistic and sustainable, not forced.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Holistic Nutritionist, and I work at the intersection of emotional health, nervous system regulation, and sustainable behaviour change.
Why I Work This Way
My career began in hospital and outpatient mental health and addictions settings, where I supported individuals facing complex and often overwhelming challenges. Over time, the emotional intensity of this work led to burnout and illness, forcing me to slow down and pay attention to my own nervous system, boundaries, and capacity.
That experience fundamentally shaped how I work.
It taught me that insight alone is not enough. Change requires safety, compassion, and an understanding of how the body responds to stress. This is why my approach focuses on regulation first, then skill-building, rather than pushing willpower or discipline.
My private practice was built to reflect this philosophy. I support clients in making meaningful changes while respecting the realities of their lives.
My Approach
I specialize in working with stress, anxiety, emotional eating, and weight-related concerns using an integrative, mind-body approach.
Rather than focusing on diets or rigid plans, my work helps clients:
understand emotional and nervous system patterns that drive behaviour
build emotional awareness and resilience
develop supportive eating and self-care habits that fit real life
reduce self-criticism and increase capacity for change
This approach supports clients in creating change that feels steady, grounded, and maintainable.
Training & Clinical Framework
My work is trauma-informed and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioural, emotion-focused, and nervous-system-informed approaches. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to each individual, rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.

A Bit About Me
Outside of my work, I am a wife, mother of two adult children, and a dog owner. I enjoy spending time outdoors, moving my body, cooking nourishing meals, reading, and unwinding with reality TV. These parts of my life help keep me grounded and balanced, which I believe matters in this work.
I create a safe, comfortable and compassionate space to share and explore your feelings and experiences.
