About Me
Life can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate at times.
We all deserve support.
That’s where I come in…
Hi, I'm Lisa,
Therapy is an incredibly personal undertaking; you need to find the correct therapist for you. So, let’s get to know each other.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor and Registered Health and Nutrition Counselor. I believe everyone deserves to experience freedom, wellness and peace within. My goal is to help my clients feel empowered and in control, and to establish healthy and caring relationships with themselves and others.
My approach is client-centered and trauma informed, drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches to create a customized and collaborative treatment plan for the individuals I work with.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Self-Compassion and Emotional Resilience. I have many years’ experience facilitating CBT for Anxiety groups as well as working with clients on emotional regulation.
What I Do
I create a safe, comfortable and compassionate space to share and explore your feelings and experiences.
My approach is solution-focused and strengths oriented, addressing specific client concerns and collaborating to develop a treatment plan that provides results. I work with a variety of clients including adolescents and adults in individual and family formats.
I practice counselling and therapy in Guelph under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
“Resilience is not just for surviving the worst day of your life, it’s for thriving every day of your life”
